This is going to be a good old whinge! I am so jack shit tired of the lack of respect shown everywhere I look lately. How hard is it to respect each other? Come on now, it’s not that hard. Not like you have to move your butt & do anything… you just have to have a thought for someone else other than yourself!

Some of my pet peeves!

1. Why block up an intersection during busy times??? It’s not like you are going to get anywhere that much faster, and what gives you the right to hold everyone else up just because your being an ass!
2. I may respect that your older than me, but that doesn’t give you the right to ram me with a shopping trolley, or give me foul looks because I may be in your way. A simple “excuse me” would have me moving out of your way faster than that evil glare & the ramming of the trolley!
3. If that speed limit sign says 70, I will be sitting on 75… not 80, not 90, not 100+. I’ll sit 5k’s over the speed limit just to keep the flow of traffic happening. However… dont abuse me because I don’t want to get a speeding ticket just so you can hide in my shadow. Go get your own speeding ticket… I have better things to spend my money on.
4. If a neighbour is complaining about your children doing something, give them the benefit of doubt. Don’t jsut tell them they are wrong because your kid has denied doing it (like they would admit any wrong doing to you anyway!). Protect your kids sure… but don’t inflict them on the neighbourhood, because they could be prize shits while your gone.
5. You can have whatever religion you like…. BUT…. don’t come knocking on my door on a Saturday or Sunday morning to preach the word of God to me!
6. When our youth try or succeed in something, don’t redicule or ignore them, they need your respect too.
7. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Many of the most successful people in the world are also some of the more colourful characters.
8. If a woman speaks, trust in what she is speaking to you about. Don’t wait for her husband. Don’t dismiss what she has to say. Don’t presume she doesn’t know your talking about. And don’t take advantage of her, because she will ring Consumer Affairs faster than her husband will!!!

… there are soooo many other examples!

In other words…… just RESPECT each other!
